Quilter Day-by-Day 06-13-2011 09:57 AM

I just moved into a bigger room and now have more room but its carpet so my chair won't roll. I have one of those hard plastic floor covering you would use in a office in front of the main machine but those are expensive. So I'm trying to figure out something else to use.

perhaps a piece of plywood, or piece of lineoleum?

A vinyl, flannel backed table cloth?

I have the plastic runner, but I got mine from Costco quite awhile ago and they weren't that expensive.

Would a piece of the wide clear vinyl like Walmart and Joanns sells work? :D:D:D

there are chair rollers for carpet, just like there are rollers for hard floors.

does it need to be carpeting? carpeting is the hardest thing to maintain in a sewing room. any hard surface would be better. what's under the carpeting?

I had a large old cutting board for fabric, so I use that. It works great.
