Long arm Husqvarna Viking sewing machine with frame
This is a long arm husqvarna Viking sewing machine with a 10' frame. It also has a new stitch length regulator. Video, books and patterns included. Price $2,000.00

This is an ad in our local paper I don't know if this is still available, but can anybody tell me if this is worth checking out? Thanks as always, Wendy

This sounds like an Inspira set-up which isn't a long arm at all. But, you didn't note a model so it's hard to tell what you're looking at exactly.

If it is an 18 x 8 that would be a great price. If it is the smaller machine, I would say not such a good price.

I think it's a domestic NOT a Long Arm...

I agree - it's the 9" machine, not the 18".
There are those that quilt with a 9" machine and love it or are quite happy with it and there are those that outgrow them quickly. I don't think there is a big resale for the 9" machines & frames so if you decide later on that it is too small you might have a problem getting what you would like for it :'(

i think that price is too high for that setup.

i would expect to pay about $500-700 less.

It looks like the regular Mega Quilter, not the longarm and I have seen them advertised for much less.

I have a similar machine and frame. I bought it 3 years used a year ago for $1200. I love finishing my quilts, but have outgrown it and now want a long arm! However, had I not had this past year to do 23 quilts, I would not have known I wanted a long arm!!! :)

I will be selling mine when I get a bigger one!

that is not a long arm- i hope it is not being advertised as one-
and that price is way high for the set up- if you are looking for something comparable and used i would expect it to be under $1000...probably the $700-$800 range.

now, if you find an actual long arm for that price....run don't walk...depending on how old it is...
