Put the cut piece back on. Drill a couple of holes in the cut end and match the holes and drill the same amount of holes in the table cut end. Hammer a short piece of dowel rod covered in good wood glue, a little bigger then the hole into the table end holes then tap the cut end on the dowels. Now you are right back where you started and can cut it even.

color me confused :?:
are you talking about an actual "table" or the table runner you were working on?

maybe I missed something, that's nothing new...

CindyinNY 10-17-2010 03:47 PM

OMG!! I'm sorry. LOL I made a typo!
I meant to say I cut my TABLE RUNNER crooked!
And why can't I edit my orginal post?????
It's just not my day!

BellaBoo 10-17-2010 03:52 PM

Oh, that makes a big difference!

quiltbugs 10-17-2010 03:56 PM

Post a picture of the table runner and how you cut it, I bet there is a way to fix it. Bunch of brilliant people on this site with some great ideas...

quiltluvr 10-17-2010 04:30 PM

Thanks for the clarification. I was totally wondering and trying to figure it out.

Sorry about the mishap, but yes, do post as I'm sure someone here can help repair it good as new!

Whoops. sorry thought you meant your table.. !!!! yea those screwy things wont help ya there on your table RUNNER !!!!!!

quiltnmom 10-17-2010 04:38 PM

LOL! Thanks for the clarification. I had just read a post by another board memeber that had knocked a hole in her wall through to a closet while her husband was at work so when I read that you cut the table I thought this had changed to the This Old House website.
But, post a pic of the runner and I'm sure someone will be able to figure a way to fix it. If they can fix a table they can fix anything!

littlehud 10-17-2010 09:19 PM

I'm so sorry. Maybe someone can suggest how to fix it. Please post a pic.

I am laughing here with the confusion and wondering why you cut your table legs off. Still laughing!

CarrieAnne 10-18-2010 04:35 AM
