Aging spots
I have some old material that has some spots on it from sitting around in a box for several years. I saw on here before some tips for getting them out but can't remember what might work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I was given an old vintage quilt top that had age spots and staining....I made a warm bath of BIZ and soaked the quilt top, right side down, into the bath for a few hours. All stains and spots...gone! I also use it to soak the yellowing of vintage hankies and old pillowcases, etc. They come out like new! Good luck!

I always use Restoration. No affiliation, just a great product for vintage textiles, from someone who has taken many classes on vintage fabrics, fabric dating, etc.

A friend of mine had an old embroidered quilt top with various spots that developed during storage. My quilt guru (she's been quilting for over 60 years and taught me) suggested soaking in tub with a bunch of denture tablets. That worked on those particular spots.

not AGE spots, but ACID spots...they do not always come out!
soak for a few days in oxyclean or efferdent! |
I have seen good reports of RetroClean. http://www.retroclean.com
