to all Ladies of this QB

All you ladies are so GREAT!!!!!! Where do you find all the great quilting sites, patterns, fabric site that are posted? Am I the only one who checks out any site/pattern given and then BUYS ? Someone just mentioned "Loraline Designs" and of course I had to check it out and I bought 2 panels- "Bee Happy" and Fast Ladies" (free shipping). I could spend most of my time surfing the sites given by all of you great ladies- not to mention spending money!!!! (don't tell my DH).

You all are so wonderful with all the help and info!

Happy Mothers day to all!!!!!!!

This is a wonderful board, isn't it?

Nammie to 7 05-11-2014 06:06 AM

Yes, it amazes me how people find the resources they do -- and share with us so we can experience the awe!! Quilters are the best!

michelleoc 05-11-2014 06:39 AM

This is the best Board. I'm always amazed at the wealth of knowledge, how quickly people are able to find websites to send us to, and the positive non-judgmental comments that are made. I'm never afraid to ask questions, and believe me, I've asked some stupid ones!

Happy Mother's Day to all.

Cornishlass 05-11-2014 06:59 AM

I have learned such a lot from everyone here, too. I am totally addicted to the board and whilst I rarely post, I read everything. You ladies are so friendly and full of encouragement and understanding. A big thank you from me too.

true4uca 05-11-2014 08:19 AM

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY QB members, and a big Thank You from me as well. Everyone has been so helpful answering all my questions.

When I first got back to quilting, I googled quilts. Then came the board and I was off and running. I have added to my favorites and bookmarked and downloaded so many patterns and tips and charts and purchased an older machine. I went to YouTube and watched the videos. I have the quilting shows on our local public access channel (PBS). I often as others do on this board, state this board is like an encyclopedia of anything and everything about sewing, quilting and the mechanics of any kind of needle work and fabric and the care of everything. OK, I need to stop my head is spinning and it's an old head of 64 years almost!

And another thought to all who are on this board or even visit, HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!!

CookyIN 05-11-2014 10:09 AM

All true and remember -- we have some great guys on this board too! I have learned as much or more from this group than I have in all the books, magazines, programs, etc. Best of all, if you ever have a question or need help, all you have to do is ask. I thank my lucky stars I found the QB!

This is like reading the morning paper to me. First thing I do is pour a cup of coffee and read the QB and chase the links given. QB, e-mail, and Facebook usually take up the first two hours of my day. But I leave inspired to sew and quilt which is what I do for the rest of the day. (some times I think about cleaning the house, then I continue to sew). Love this board. Speaking of men on the board, I also go the vintage sewing machine section and learn from Joe and Rodney and the others there. Whatever, you want to know this board has got you covered. Thanks to all who contribute and show their beautiful work.

This is a great Board!! When I first got back into quilting, I joined probably 10 boards and this one is the only one I still keep up with. It's the BEST!!!!

I, so totally agree. As a newbie, I learned so much from this FANTASTIC group of quilters & still continue to do so. I don't know what I would start my day with, without my daily dose of the QB. Thank you all so much & to Patrice & the great people who keep the QB going daily.

I get up, get dressed, let the dog out and feed and water her, and then I spend some quiet time on the board. Hubster is still asleep. A lovely way to enjoy some "me" time with all of you.

citruscountyquilter 05-13-2014 03:50 AM

I start my day out by reading QuiltingBoard. I have learned so much here. It's the greatest.

BigSis63, I think you are the best! It was super meeting you many moons ago and I think often of you. Take Care!

quilttiger 05-13-2014 05:16 AM

Yes, the QB Daily Digest is a wonderful way to be part of the quilting community! Here are a just few examples of how QB has helped me so much. I made my own red snappers at a fraction of the cost, kept track of how long the BLOCK magazine was taking to be shipped and it was easy to be patient, knowing it was coming and getting to see other members' wonderful pictures, patterns, ideas and all kinds of tips! Thanks to all!

LoriMcc 05-13-2014 06:50 AM

I love you all too! My friends! :)

pokeygirl 05-13-2014 06:51 AM

Where else can you get an honest opinion ? You are all such great people and share what you know and have thru this Wonderful Board. It is a delight to wake up to all my friends here on the QB. Thanks. Many hugs and prayers to you all. Sorry I missed telling you all "Happy Mothers Day" but my computer decided it was time for 4 or 5 days off.!!! Oh well.

klutzyquilter 05-13-2014 07:13 AM

When I expressed desire to learn to quilt my husband suggested I join a "sewing circle" ... nope, not for me ... am so glad I discovered QB. I have learned so much .. when I make stupid mistakes I think of comments I've seen on the board and realize it's just "part of the process." Thank you for sharing your successes, your mishaps, your inspiration and your lovely quilts. I'm hooked !!

crafty pat 05-13-2014 09:47 AM

A group so willing to share and help when needed. I have loved my time on the board and have learned so much and enjoyed reading and seeing so many shared thoughts and pictures of beautiful quilts. It is wonderful to have so many who have the same love for quilting and fabrics as myself. And no quilt police here. Thank you all who take the time to find patterns and fabrics for those who are searching and sharing with us the best places to go for free patterns and best places to buy the best fabrics at the best prices. And to all who jump in to help when someone asks for help.

Roberta 05-13-2014 12:11 PM

I so agree that this is the greatest site ever. Whenever I have any question I know I can turn to the Quilting Board for help. I love you all :-)

silverfoxmag 05-13-2014 02:07 PM

I'm fairly new to QB and look forward every day to spend time here. I'm still learning how to navigate and I post comments especially on the beautiful works of art that are called quilts. Love all the sharing and giving of advice and encouragement you all have to offer. Thank each and everyone of you, a wonderful group!

bbeyes 05-13-2014 02:35 PM

Yes I agree this is a wonderful site. I too have learned so much and my quilting is improving thanks to all of you wonderful people.

palmetto girl 05-13-2014 04:54 PM

To try to start my day without the QB is just wrong so I get my info. early. I too, have learned so much from the fellow quilters. A big thank you for the ones who make it work so well.

jmoore 05-13-2014 05:58 PM

love the many wonderful QB members... visit their stories and photos daily.

sharin'Sharon 05-13-2014 06:39 PM

A good friend is someone who will share.......that's the description of a Quilting Board member. We once had a local quilt club member who would NEVER share an 'easier or new method' she had learned, with the rest of us but always wanted to know the details of one that someone else came upon. That's not the way it is on this board, for sure. Good friendship and assistance with minimal time lapse. Am ever so grateful that I accidentally came across this site a few years ago. Thanks to all......and keep sharing.

Rubesgirl 05-13-2014 07:09 PM

QB is my night-time treat! I see the Digest pop up in my email during the day but save it until I get into bed at night so I can read it with no distractions. You have all answered so many questions for me and given me so much encouragement, especially when I first started quilting and felt lost. I have learned so much from you, laughed with you, and shared your joys and sorrows. "Thank you" barely scratches the surface!

oldtisme 05-14-2014 10:33 AM

I am always amazed at when someone asks what a certain block is or quilt is someone immediately can name the block or square or even tell you exactly where to get it. My memory is terrible, but you members ROCK! Thanks for all the hints, tips & sometimes tutorials. I Love Yall!

obie2 05-14-2014 11:46 AM

I wholeheartedly agree. Wonderful board that has a great bunch of folks on it.

LivelyLady 05-14-2014 12:21 PM

I'm addicted to this board! Such clever, knowledgeable quilters!!

Nonna Judi 05-18-2014 04:25 PM

You will not find a more kind or helpful group of quilters anywhere. They have helped me out many times. The best!
