Yes, at last, turkey cooked and eaten, all other presents opened, talked to friends and family during the day in Uk and USA. Finally got my mits on my new Bernina 440QE. Waheeeeyy. I can't believe just what it can do. Maybe I can even ride it on the snow we have here in Roswell, GA. I am sure it would just glide. Such a machine needs poetry written about it. As you can all tell I am over the moon!!! Hope you all had a lovely Christmas and thanks for all your great posts.. I am sure I will be asking for help here in the not too distant future!! A happy and healthy year to come I wish you all. Be thankful

Yehey tWas moi. Telling my DH to get his paws off my stitches. Typical trying to get my stitches wider etc as I was trying them out. In the end the new rescue dog we have came over and tried to get a piece of the action. We were sitting side by side gasping at the amazing stitches and she stuck her nose up between us to see what was going on. So funny.

Wonderful! I hope you enjoy many hours sewing on it! I got my 440QE last Christmas & love it. She's in the shop getting her 1 year cleaning & check up and I can't wait to get her back. I waited until this week to do that because I knew I would be too busy to miss her.

Oooooh Congratulations. If I was going to trade in my old Bernina or was in the market for a new one it would be that one. Make sure you post pictures of your creations!

Oh congratulations! I feel your excitement all the way up here in North East PA!
I am so happy for you! It truly is an amazing machine. I think it is so funny how your DH and fur baby got into the act. My DH has the habit of getting in on the action with a new toy. When I am finishing up the postlude after the service in our little country church (I am the organist), he sometimes wonders up and starts punching the stops to see what new spin he can put on the sound of whatever I am playing. Thank heavens the other folks are already milling around, and shaking hands with the pastor by then. ;-)

I'm so very happy for you and glad you are sharing. I have a great new Babylock, but am still Bernina-curious. Let us all know what you like about this machine and how it's working. You are living the dream, but we can live vicariously through you.

I am so happy for you. My Bernina 440QE will be 4 years old in March, and I still love it. Enjoy!

I am so happy for you. My friend has a Bernina and learned to sew on it. It spoiled her so bad she can't sew on anything else. I told her she is SPOILED. Love her so much and glad she was able to buy a great first machine.

I have a Brother 6500 that I bought 8 years ago. It embroiders and anything else I can figure out how to do. I have it set up now for embroidery and now using the FW for regular quilting. Have to admit I miss the auto thread cutter on the Brother when I am using the FW. Can't have everything can we? So grateful to have my lovely machines.

Do enjoy your beautiful new present.
