While walking thu Home Depot - I was getting stocking stuffers for hubby- A magazine cover caught my eye.. It was Better Homes and Gardens SEW SCRAPPY magazine !!! I have never seen this one before.. 22 stash busting quilts !!! it was a bit more costly $12.99 but I'm a sucker for scrappy and now I have a stocking stuffer for me too!!! I got Volume one 2010.. Check it out, and not sealed in plastic wrap so you can thumb thru it..

Thanks for passing the word. I wouldn't have thought of looking for quilt magazines at Home Depot!

Thanks for the heads up. I love scrappy quilts. I'll keep my eyes open for it.
But the price of the magazine...that's really high. I remember when magazines cost maybe 25cents and a hardback book was maybe $10. (obviously I'm really old...lol) but that's another thread...

I bought their Antique Quilt issue and LOVED it. Yes, they are priced more than the others but this issue I will save the whole thing. I'll look for that one too as I love scrappy's the best.

Yea I thought it was pretty high as well but I justified it with being a xmas present to me. .. Yea that's my story and I'm sticking to it.. hmm lets see..next 3 issues will be a late valentines gift... then a mommy's day gift.. then my birthday gift.. and back again to a Christmas gift.. Whoo hoo, got them all covered!!

Wow I love Home Depot and Lowes. Will have to pay more attention to the magazines!

We're all cutting corners with what we buy. However, if you buy one pattern at an LQS you are going to spend almost as much as a you did for 22 of them. It's all in how you look at it. Also, just the enjoyment time (this year and next year and whenever you look at it again)and creativity sessions that you gain from it, make this really worthwhile. Of course - now I have to go and look for it!
