Pat Wys, at Silver Thimble Quilts, has a pattern for a tone-on-tone log cabin called White Chocolate. It is also available in her new book, Spotlight on Neutrals. I made one for a wedding quilt and it was perfect.

Is it possible to get any of her wedding dress material, or perhaps something close to it....My first thought was a old fashioned Crazy Quilt with brocades, velvet, satin and lace....something that looks very 'bridal'....perhaps some seed pearls and some netting overlay......and would not make it too big....but would definatly add the wedding date and names of bride and groom..... IMHO:shock:

Think you could use any pattern, then use the same white material all the way through. You could still see the design and if you quilt it to accent the block shape, you should be ok. Good luck.

Try locating the looseleaf book called White-on-White by Maud con Bergy-Arnoldus, published by That Patchwork Place 1993. There patterns for16 quilted blocks and border and the quilt is square when it is finished. It is neat because it is carry along work. The blocks are joined when they are all quilted. My granddaughter # 2 is going to get one if she decides to get married. The back can be any color you wish, by the way so your quilt is reversible. I have seen it done with pastel backs on the blocks as well as dark green with no color showing through. Hope this helps.

white on white quilt

Would it perhaps be an idea to incorporate lace borders to the white on white blocks, plus folded blocks for texture.I have done something like that. I still have to work out how to include photographs but hope you get the idea. Love Letty

I have seen somewhere on this site, I think, a lovely white on white that was also embellished with lace inserts, embroidery, eyelet overlays, etc and done in a kind of crazy quilt fashion....would be worth trying to find.....

If I asked for all white, I wouldn't want creams and beiges. I like CK's suggestion white on white and change the pattern/texture. I made a long table topper in white and creams and love it, but I think white on white would be beautiful.

Oh yeah, would probly be very pretty!

I think you could use any quilt pattern you like, just use a collection of all white fabrics

I agree with the opinion of using a virety of white on white fabrics and fashion into blocks. Any bride would love something like this and it won't be a copy of your daughters special quilt.
