Finally heard from the shop about my malfunctioning SM...seems it needs a new sewing head (?) It's less than 2 yrs old - do you think I wore it out already?

Thankfully it is still under warranty but I probably won't get it back until sometime early next week.
My DH went online and ordered me a 'back up' machine this morning! Isn't he wonderful!!
Although I might have chosen something different, I'm not complaining! My new Singer will be here sometime next week too! :-)

What kind of Singer did you get?

It a Singer 4423 Commercial Grade Heavy Duty Sewing Machine....so now I don't have an excuse for not patching jeans...and his "grip" (a bag he has to carry for work) which is a very heavy canvas material.
Should have realized there was a reason *HE* went online and bought one!

Just looked it up--nice!

Oh! my!

I haven't heard anyone call a bag a "grip" in years...That's what my dad called his briefcase.

Wow, never heard of needing a new machine head. Do you know what they mean by that? What a bummer, but it's nice to know you have a wonderful hubby to get you a backup machine. Always nice to have that, plus it's great for a friend to come over and sew with you.

Here was the problem...
Everything in the 'red' section is part of the sewing head (so I'm told)

Thanks for taking the time to answer. I'm thankful for you that it was still under warranty.
