the paraphrase my sister in law, the object is completion and not perfection ( perfection comes years later) Don't sweat the small stuff. 90% of the people won't even recognize an imperfection....because they can't sew a stich. Finish it...If you are really unhappy donate it to a Charity program...They would be happy with any quilt.

Recently there was a topic about too much emphasis on perfection. When a person looks at a quilt they look at the whole completed quilt. They are not looking to see if points match or are nipped off, etc. unless they are a quilt judge. After all you have been thru with quilting, I'm surprised that you are still soldiering on. I would have quit long ago. There are a few basics to quilting, obviously, but there are no real "right" or "wrong" so lighten up on yourself, relax and enjoy your work. After all, you can always come here for some encouragement!

I think your star is beautiful, good job

your junctions match up very well
Be careful that on the tips of your stars you need a generous
1/4 inch allowance, so as to not lose your points when you sew your blocks together.
Colors are terrific---keep going -- you are doing great.

I certainly can't see anything wrong with your quilt. I think it will be beautiful. Make sure to post a pic of the finished quilt.

You've got a great start and your fabric choices are beautiful. Your points are right on. I was always critical of my work too until I talked with many wonderful quilters at my LQSs who told me I was being too hard on myself and most of what I could see others did not.
