I get that every time after I've finished a somewhat demanding project, my brain is absolutely deactivated. After a few days ,when I feel like sewing again but don't know what to make as nothing really tempts me, I start by paper piecing simple log gabins or string blocks. No need to plan a thing, the sewing lines are there!Just orphan blocks to create beautiful color combinations. Set aside in a box:soon there's enough for a scrap quilt project to put together on another Brain Dead Day. I love to play with colors

Go quickly to the closest quilt show you can find. I went to one on Friday and it helped my slump a lot. It was fun. I got a lot of ideas I want to work on now.

January was didn't do much and February is competing with that. I have several need to get done soon. Next week I promised my self I'll work really hard!

I've been in nothing but slumps... I've finished a total of 2 projects this year, one I had been working off and on for 3 years, the other I started a year ago. A pillow, and a small wall hanging. I spend hours upon hours looking at other's quilts, reading quilting novels, reading on QB and the quilting group on Facebook, but have I started another project yet??? NOOOoooo. Sigh.. Sometimes I wonder if I'm just pretending to love to quilt!
