Am I in over my head?
1 Attachment(s)
Need some advice from those who KNOW! I'm awesome for diving in head first. What I don't want to do is get overwhelmed. Did I pick a pattern too far over my experience level? (I've done one quilt, about 15 years ago and all off the top of my head with NO help but my own brain) Please see attached for pattern and how far I've gotten.

I am always over my head, take your time ask for help here, and enjoy yourself !!! Love your color choices, and your pattern choice is great !! Looking forward to seeing the finished quilt. :)

I think you've made a great start, just take your time and you will be fine. And if you get to feeling like it's too much, you can always use the blocks you made as focus squares in a quilt. I love the print you are using, those precious faces!

Not over your head
Looks fun to me... take it slow and enjoy the journey... what size are your blocks? Love your fabric choice

great pattern and colors.

The blocks are 6.5 inch squares. I figure I'll have 6 of them before I border the whole thing as well as between the six with the off white fabric.
Thank you for the words of encouragement - that was really what I needed to hear, not so overwhelmed anymore :) |
Very cute but I would say way to intricate. How about a 54-40 or Fight star block without the small extra pieces. But if you are enjoying it then go for it.
|
it looks to me that you have already done the hard part, and now just have to stitch the blocks together. You'll be fine.
|
it looks adorable! what are you concerned about? it seems like it is coming together nicely.

that is really good keep it up and dont stop enjoy
