Angel with eyes?

I'm going to be making more of these. One friend likes it without eyes and another friend likes the eyes. Which do you like better?

I liked the angel without eyes but now seeing the one with eyes, I think I like it better. Either way they are cute!

Doggramma 09-26-2018 05:31 AM

I like the eyes, but then it needs rosy cheeks? They're both cute

crackers 09-26-2018 05:51 AM

Without the eyes is what I like better.

LavenderBlue 09-26-2018 06:13 AM

Both are nice. I would prefer the eyes a tad bit higher and further apart.

I agree with Lavender Blue.

sewbizgirl 09-26-2018 06:31 AM

I think it needs eyes, but I might do some 'downturned' eyes by either embroidering or drawing little curved lines.

Jingle 09-26-2018 12:12 PM

Either is okay by me.

toverly 09-26-2018 12:59 PM

I like eyes. Angels need to see.

Blueridgebeverly 09-26-2018 01:07 PM

I like it better with eyes.

I vote for angel with eyes. It brings her to life.

I agree with Sewbizgirl, eyes that are downturned. It makes a softer face. Maybe something like this:

JustAbitCrazy 09-26-2018 09:23 PM

I like it with eyes best because it's easier to recognize as an angel with eyes.

Jane Quilter 09-26-2018 09:41 PM

I like Jan in Va"s sketch on the angel. (esp the singing mouth)

LavenderBlue 09-27-2018 01:22 AM

Jan to the rescue!!

I agree with Jan in VA...what a sweet expression for an angel's face. Reminds me of singing angels. I vote for eyes for sure. You can always do some of both. :)

QuiltnNan 09-27-2018 02:09 AM

yes, i like jan's eyes, but this face is so tiny! very difficult to fit all of that in. i appreciate everyone's thoughts

ArtsyOne 09-27-2018 02:36 AM

I agree with Lavender - eyes, but higher up.

quilterpurpledog 09-27-2018 02:43 AM

Love it either way. You could make some of each. The angel is very cleverly made as a paper pieced project.

junegerbracht 09-27-2018 03:36 AM

Love the angel. Love Jan’s suggestion.

lawsonmugs 09-27-2018 08:51 AM

I love the little seed bead eyes. Great pp by the way, This is a sweet angel.

wanda45 09-27-2018 08:55 AM

I vote for eyes!

sJens 09-27-2018 10:17 AM

I like the eyes.

audsgirl 09-27-2018 06:32 PM

I think I like the one without the eyes, partly because I know how hard it is to get French knots to be the same size and level with each other. You did a great job with them. I love the fabric you picked for the wings. Lovely!

The Pigma pens have a very fine line and would look nice with maybe just the eye lashes. Am thinking the lines would give a 'softer' look to the angels.

momsobon 09-28-2018 04:19 AM

Jan always has the answers.....Jan you are the best.

JanieH 09-28-2018 10:39 AM

Love Jan in VA's angel face.
