Annie's online classes
Have any of you ever taken any of these? And, if so, how were they? Recommend any in particular? I'd like to learn how to paper piece and am a visual learner. A Monkey see, monkey do sort of gal. I am terrible with written instructions. So, I thought I might try one of these classes. Tell me what you think or recommend.

I have only taken the machine embroidery one. I liked it. I am more familiar with craftsy classes.

If you want to learn to paper piece, check "Craftsy". I think they have a couple of Carol Doak paper piecing classes on there. Also, go to the Carol Doak website. http://www.caroldoak.com lots of great info on there, too. Carol has a group on Yahoo that has a wide range of quilters - all of whom paper piece.
Good luck. I love to paper piece. Anita |
Thank you Anita for the info. I am just starting to learn paper piecing and will check this out!

Check out Carol Doak's website I think she may have some tips out there. She used to have a CD out that was wonderful but I can't find it anywhere now. Out on Youtube there is a Carol Doak teaches you to paper piece that you can rent as a video(don't know how this works) for 4.99. My only concern would be if you can't download it to your computer and watch whenever you want. However she also has a class out on Craftsy and I know they have sales. I will say that the cd I watched (borrowed from a friend) was wonderful and I am sure her class is probably that same thing - may be why they took the CD off the market.
