THIS is what that last one SHOULD have sold for!!

It seems a little high even for a Centennial. The last two Centennials I bought on ebay I got for under $450.
|
They average about $500...this particular one is in mint condition, and I imagine that's why it's higher than normal.
The last one sold for $270 or thereabouts...way too low for a Centenial. |
I think if you start tracking the featherweights, they are starting to drop a little in price. The last featherweight I only paid $180. The 222s are still quite high.
The machines are only worth what someone is willing to pay for them. |
WOW!!! it sure is pretty, but waaaaaay out of my price range
|
You know......I have decided that maybe one of these days I'll have a featherweight but no way would I pay that much for one. I'll just settle for my little Spartan. That is one cool little machine.....lol!

You can get them for a lot less money and especially on ebay. If you go back and look at the completed ones you will see many that never got one bid, because they were too high. I have even seen several regular featherweights sell for under $200. I got mine for 180.
A guy from Kansas came to one of our CA quilt shows and all his featherweights were over 1,000. He must have thought either he had a bunch of suckers. Or because everything was so expensive here we would bite. He had all his machines when he left on Sunday. LOL. |
