ANOTHER Long Arm Question

I am still working on getting my Bailey 17 and Majestic frame up and running. I put the cloth leaders on tonight and worked some more on organizing my space. I made a large "quilt sandwich" to practice on today also. I wasn't thinking that each layer goes on a separate rail and they come together close to the machine. Can I use this sandwich that I made that has the layers already put together? I used basting spray and some pins to put it together. Now I am not sure how to place it on the frame.

I am so clueless. I had the carriage and machine on the frame backwards until I watched a video tonight. I have so much to learn!

Conect one end to the rod that is for the quilt top and roll all up then attach the other end to the take up roller and sew like you was using it like you had the 3 pieces coming together on the take up roller. Just dont do next like that. You will need to remove the basting pins so not to sew over one of them. Next time load the top to one roller and the backing to one roller and then padding and then bring it to the take up roll. GOOD LUCK

I would like to know how you like the machine? I have the grace PDQ Pro frame and have been wondering if that machine would fit on my frame.

Thanks Butterfly! and I will let you know how I like it as soon as I know. I think it will take time, but I am hoping to love it. (since it was not a small investment!)

I have a 15'' Bailey with stitch regulator on a little Gracie ii frame. I have found it to be an affordable setup, and pretty reliable. It will do until I can win the lottery and get a larger setup with all the bells and whistles. :-)
