Another question about batting

I was wondering if any of you have used the cozy cotton batting from Marshalls? It's an 80/20 blend and 30 yards is selling for $99. I know that Joann's is having a 60% off batting by the yard and I love the Fairfield batting that they carry but was wondering about the Cozy Cotton brand. Thanks in advance for your responses.

I bought a big fluffy polyester batting roll from them once, many years ago. The shipping is expensive, and they sent two rolls wrapped up together, along with a bill for the second roll! I didn't want, couldn't use, couldn't store two of those! I called, and the man refused to take the second roll back because of the cost of shipping. He said he mailed me two rolls because he could ship two for almost the same cost as shipping one. He offered to let me buy it for half price, so I bought it and donated it to my quilt guild. After that I was gun shy to buy batting from there again.

Check Connecting Threads when they have their 30% off sale. They do not have rolls, but lots of choices for packaged batting. I use Hobbs for everything! Great quality, always consistent!

Such nerve! I would have told him that I didn't want it, wasn't going to pay for it, and if he wanted it back he would have to come get it. If someone sends you something you didn't order, you're under no obligation whatsoever to pay for it or return it.

You know, I still have most of that roll of batting. As battings go, it's the cheap fluffy thick stuff, bought when I didn't know any better. The roll I donated was used up on the guild's first two sewing days, for charity quilts like Project Linus.

Exactly! Once he had shipped it to you -- unasked for and unordered -- he had no recourse. He did it, in my opinion, hoping you'd pay for it. And because you're honest and fair, you did.

I just bought a roll of Pellon Natures Touch 80/20 from Wal-Mart, 96"x9yd roll for $30.80. https://www.walmart.com/ip/Pellon-Na...-bolt/38571009 . With free shipping, I believe it is a really good deal. It feels and drapes just like Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 blend.
