I took some scrap pieces to see how the stitching was, LOVE it!
Does anyone know of a secret to keep the needle threaded after using the auto thread cutter?
The needle keeps coming unthreaded so you are only using bobbin thread.
This is a neat experience, love how quiet this machine is. No bounce on the table at higher speeds - rubber circles on the edges.
The needle threader is different, this machine (wonder if that is how the other machines in this class do also, the Juki, Janome, Babylock) threads sideways, not front to back like other machines.

If you do a search of this machine, I know this has been discussed before but I can't remember what was said. I think all of these machine thread this way, at least I know that the MegaQuilter does.

Ok thanks, I think it would get frustrating how the thread gets cut so short - just under the presser foot so when you go to do needle down again, needle becomes unthreaded.

Mine does the same thing.

I have the PQ1500S. My solution is to hand crank the wheel until the needle arm is in its highest position before I cut. Others on here have mentioned using less holes in the thread guide.

Also, remember the bobbin thread will not be visible on this machine when you use the thread cutter. It will be there and ready to sew but not pulled up like in many machines.

AH ha, I am using 2 holes for this first test sewing, I want to see how it does using 1 and all 3 to see which I like best.
