Is Muslin similar to the "Monk's Cloth" and "Burlap"?

No, muslin is a cotton similar to your quilting fabrics. Some is thicker, some is thinner. The other two are heavier, coarser fabrics.

Burlap is almost like grain sacks a farmer would get. It is very coarse and loosly woven. It can also have an odor to it. I bought some for a Sunbonnet Sam doll and it has an odor to it. I have it closed up in a bag with a dryer sheet, hoping to help the smell.

Okay, thank you :)

i wouldn't shop for muslin online because the quality can differ so much.. that is, unless someone tells you they bought a quality one at a specific site. good luck

No it isn't.
