Not to sound weird, but how much cash should I take? I was thinking $200 would be my limit. But this is a very special trip and DH said to really treat myself so maybe I should take more?

Help..again! LOL

Take what you can afford and no more.

I took $500 to Paducah and came home with change. And Houston is probably twice as big.

I agree with Hubby. Sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders, if you really really really want something, go for it, but if its not something you think you would get good use out of..then maybe think about it a while before you buy. They obviously LOVE impulse buyers. HAVE A FABULOUS TIME!!!

Maybe I'll take $300. I can always order online later on if I change my mind and decide I just have to have something I didn't get while I was there...right? LOL

Thanks so much for the suggestions!

I'm taking $300 to spend on Fabric and stuff. BUT- I'm gonna buy a Juki if I can get a good deal.

If you can afford it $500-$600. You can always take it home again.

Depends on how much you can honestly afford. Also consider if you will be able to go next year, etc... If this is your one and probably only time to go..then honestly how much can you afford to spend. Think it over carefully. You will want to spend much more than you can afford, but use self control.

Have fun

Hi, I've been to Houston twice. My rule of thumb is:
Pack your suitcase and count your money.
Then take half the stuff out of your suitcase and double your money. ;-) That should do it!

Seriously? Follow the advice of your husband. A thousand booths means a thousand booths to spend. Check what your income allows you to spend. And that's your limit.
I've been to Houston with someone who had a 100 dollars to spend and she was happy as any other because she has a very tight budget. Another girl took 2000 dollars and it was too little.
Take a bit more than normal bot not more than you can afford. That should make it a good budget to feel you did something special, but you do not have to worry the months after how to pay the credit card company!

Have fun quilting! And say hi to JoAnne from paperpieces.com from me! I'll see her next year on show!
