I am creating a quilt called "Answered Prayers" in which each square in the quilt will represent an answered prayer. I am looking for people to submit to me a piece of cotton fabric 4" square (can come from something meaningful or just represent it) and a brief summary of their answered prayer. I will then be piecing the quilt and putting together a booklet of the prayers and fabric represented there. Be sure to state whether I can use your answered prayer in the booklet, fabric will be used regardless. Please send to Answered Prayers, c/o T. Osborne, 143 West Parkway, Madison, OH 44057

Hi there and welcome, i see you are new here. I have some questions...uhmmm, i have no idea why you are asking this, and what your booklet will be. Maybe you will get more response with a little more information perhaps. You must have more than enough answered prayers in your lifetime to make an answered quilt on your own...so i dont think i understand? Can you tell us more about it?

First of all, please understand this is not just a way to get fabric if that is what you are thinking, I do many quilts each year and like any quilter visit my fabric store/quilt shop often. I have been blessed many a time with answered prayers but I wanted to create something that was not just an example of my answered prayers but those from all over the world to show how God's love has reached all of us. I have been receiving fabric from all over the US for this project through similar outreaches such as friends, family, community, church ect. A few examples, breast cancer survivors have written me and sent material from their walk jackets. I have heard from people who have sent pieces of fabric such as hankies from a special grandmother or baby material because they were blessed with an adopted child or even their own children. In the booklet I just hope to show on each page the square given and their answered prayer. It would be nice to display the quilt in the future, although I don't know where that would be, I am sure God has a plan. I just know that I have felt convicted to do this. I hope that this helps to explain.

Petdrwife, Hello from North Carolina. Thank you for explaining, we are a group of quilters that share our ideas, ask quilting questions and get answers to our questions from each other, we are unique group of friends. We did not mean to make you feel bad is just that you came out of left field without introducing yourself asking for us to participate in something that we did not know anything about.
We welcome you to our group and we will love to see your quilts and your store.
