Just this a.m. I purchased a Singer machine and oak cabinet. I don't know where to begin to look for info. on it such as a manual, parts, how to clean it, etc. The model # is B1043107 and the needle plate has 8 patented dates on it the last one being April 7, 1896. I believe it is a Phoenix on the body of the sewer. I would appreciate any help I can get. I am so proud of it, needs a few parts and to be cleaned. The best part is I paid $50 for it. Did I get a good deal? Help me please!!!!!

You might want to go to www.singerco.com. I have an old Singer Treadle machine and I found out thru this site when it was made, etc. It has a lot of information and you probably could fine parts info, too. I was even able to print out a manual for my machine and it was made in the early 1900's.

Check out the VIntage shop here- post a photo and ask Billy (Lostn51) about it. They can tell you when it was made from the serial number, and also give you info on what you need and how to clean it up.
