I did one of my first quilts in shades of off white- used Yellow Brick Road pattern- love it and proudly display it on our guest bed. Good luck.

I remember seeing one in a Kaffe Fassett quilt book once, but I can't remember which one. It was lovely.

Myrna - look at the post from wudbquilter a few below yours on the same day - the one that shows string quilts made on a 3" roll of adding machine tape. If you use only pink and/or white or pink and white fabric on a roll, then pick a quilt pattern to use the 3" pieced roll, you might have just what your sister wants - (or not - LOL). Just a suggestion!

oooh, that sounds beautiful! Great idea; may I suggest making the squares a bit bigger than most patterns? Saved my sanity when I was on my IC kick- still have a few blocks to finish.....where DID I put that? Getting organizedis a NYR- again!

I think this is a great looking quilt and would be just as beautiful in pale pink!

Most whole cloth quilts I've seen would take a long time to quilt unless you're planning to machine quilt - and April is pretty close.
I think dforesee's idea of large blocks in various whites and white on whites is a good one. Then machine quilt pink lines where you'd ordinarily have sashing and quilt a large design in alternate blocks with pink thread

A group of ladies from our church made a sampler quilt using only white on white, creams, grey whites, and very pale tan tones. It was presented to our minister upon his marriage. It was very beautiful and amazing how all the various pale tones did have enough contrast to see the pattern of each block.

Several years ago Alex Anderson did a book on all neutral color quilts. I saw one of them in person (during a quilting class by Paula)..it was all beiges/whites and then had a couple of teeny pops of pink thrown in at random. It was GORGEOUS! You might want to look on Amazon for the book (do an author search for Alex), the pics should give you some ideas. Good luck and be sure to post pics when you are done...

Could you be interested in pink pinwheels on white, with a pink boarder, and binding? You could have several prints of the pink to keep it interesting, or not.
