Any BOMS for 2014?

I've been on the lookout for free BOMS for both quilting and embroidery, and I haven't seen much. I guess it's a little early yet, but I hope if you find some you'll share links here. Thanks!

I'll be watching.

I am praying that Craftsy has another free BOM in 2014!

fabric lover 11-14-2013 09:24 AM

I saw this one http://www.quilterblogs.com/tag/bom/
Sulky has a free BOM each year, http://www.sulky-international.de/sc...p?seite_id=200

And Aurifill has a designer-of-the-month block this year . I think they had it last year too, so may be next year as well??

Here is a list of lots of BOM's for 2013, may be she'll have one for 2014 as well?

Fabric lover, I've been following all of those, so we must have similar taste :)

I haven't heard if there will be new ones for 2014, so I'll keep my fingers crossed!

If you like applique, Erin Russek usually has free BOMs. She's winding down her BOM for 2013 (Jingle Belle), so she might be starting a new one in the next couple of months.

I love her work. Wish I had the time to do all of her projects!

LOL, I am following them, but making them? That's a whole different story. I haven't even finifhed Anne Sutton's BOM: Henrietta Whiskers yet :(

I will be running one for my local quilt guild and promised to make it available online. I'll announce it in the links section when I get it started. It will be all shortcut blocks. I have to design it still but am planning to have it ready by the middle of January.

Superior Threads has one up on their site. Starts in Jan. Two different colorways. Very pretty!! Don't know if it's free or not.

Shabby fabrics usually has one also, but don't know if it's posted yet.

I made a Debbie Mumm BOM several years ago called Garden Favorites. She has several posted on her website. You can look at them here.

I am interested in a new 2014 BOM too. I am in one now but the waiting every month is driving me nuts. I want another one to fill in the "waiting in between" time. I will keep my eyes on this thread to see if more show up.

The only new one (free) I've seen for 2014 is from The Quilted Snail:

And yes, I will provide a listing of free BOMs on my blog for 2014. I will keep adding to it as I see new ones announced, so if you want to let me know of any new ones, I'd love to hear from you. Just bear in mind this list is only about FREE BOMs.

She has started a video tutorial on applique. Its free and there is a link on her site. She mentioned in the last blog post about planning her next years BOM...flowers and birds! (she LOVES flowers and birds! lol)

I sure will once I get it done. I need to sit down, design and make it up. I plan to have it ready by January. I'll definitely share the link once it's ready to go.

Yes, I have news of two beginning on BOM QB. Carrie (a member) will head up Carol Doak's(?) pp 50 stars and a new Dear Jane is beginning there, also. Bonnie Hunter's is starting up November 29th with Celtic Sunrise Mystery Quilt. Right now we are doing a 14 by 16 inch paper piecing project from free patterns from www.QuiltingontheSquare.com patterns. We posted the September, October and November blocks, two a month, and will continue in January. Honchey (member here also) is leading us onward into the projects of SYE.

Hmm, this sounds really interesting! I will definitely be watching for your link! Thank you in advance!

I checked out your blog, I was wondering where the free ones are. It's nice you will list them as you find them.

I could mention the nice BOTM here on QB. I am participating for the first time this year and have had fun with it. I'm sure it will be fun in 2014 too! A nice group of people participate, and there are tips and help along the way.
