I will be taking a road trip up to Chattanooga this week and would love to know of any quilt shops not to miss!

TIA...

I was wondering the same thing. I'll be in that area in late Sept. Hope there are some shops to visit.

Check out Sew-Bee-It in Ringgold, GA just south of Chattanooga about 5 miles. Take exit 348 and go right on Alabama Highway approx. 1/2 mile. You will pass a Wendys on the right and the shop is just past it on the left as you go over a small hill. This shop was completely demolished in the April tornado and I think it is amazing that they just reopened today!!! I know they would appreciate any and all visitors to let them know how much they have been missed.

Here is a link that if you copy and paste it into your browser will take you to their Flickr site with pics of the new building and probably the pics of the post tornado damage are still there.

The only other local quilt shop, Lavender Lime Quilts, closed soon after but due to other circumstances.

There is a Hobby Lobby and a JoAnn's at the Hamilton place Mall.

Hope you enjoy your visit! And safe traveling.

Thank you so much. I will be traveling with friends to Chattanooga so I'm not sure how far I will be able to venture out. I will try and go to Sew Bee It. :-D

Oh, you forgot to post the link...

Sorry forgot the link:

You will have to copy it into your address line on your browser.

The shop website has not been updated yet; I will post a link to it when it is updated.

Thanks, skowlkat. So I assume this is the only shop near Chattanooga?

If you want fabric, check out Sir's in Fayetteville, TN. They have a warehouse of fabric.
