Tapestry, Upolstery and Drapery fabric ? I have a tote full of these fabrics and trying to use it up. The one piece of tapestry fabric has a really rish antique look and was thinking of making a wide border all the way around it and use some of my quilting fabric to match, then hand quilt the border with a masive busy design and use it as a wall quilt.Opinions please!

I use upholstery fabric to make purses/bags. I'm sure there is many other uses for it, but I don't know what it would be.

makes great jackets or totebags. I would also imagine it would make cool belts.

ebook covers.

If it's cotton, I've made a rag quilt with it.

my thought -bags or totes but table runners or candle mats might show them off too

I use the nicer upholstery fabric for backing on my table toppers ans smaller projects. They add interest.

My main use of upholstry fabrics is totes and accessories of all sizes. Great for Bible covers, checkbook covers, wallets, cosmetic bags, etc. No need to use batting or interfacing with most of them. Some I have not even used a lining. And you can always use the scraps in a crazy quilt type design as well.

What about an extra large pillow for large teens or men? Or dogs even. One DD has a big Boxer who will sit in front of the fireplace on his pillow if not allowed on the couch. |
