OK, I finished the blocks for a charity quilt going to a homeless veteran and just want your eyes to check if there is anything wrong with the layout. I hope to sew up the blocks into row and have a quilt top done by tomorrow evening.

Here is my layout on EQ7 and then the actual layout of the blocks on my design wall. THANKS for your help.

What a pretty quilt. The homeless veteran is going to be soooo pleased to have this quilt. I don't see a single thing wrong with it. Thanks for your generosity to this deserving soul.

Beautiful quilt! I don't see any mistakes, but I do have a suggestion. Could you move one of the blocks at the top center that have the dark watery blue? Having them together appears to make a "T" and it distracts my eye from the pattern. Maybe trade the lower one with the one below it that has the dark neutral background.

It's a nit-picky suggestion but easy to do at this stage if you want to.

What is the name of that quilt? You did an awesome job. Somebody will certainly be glad to receive it. Just looks warm and cozy.

cathyvv 12-14-2015 08:58 PM

don't ask me! I only see 'obvious' mistakes when they are also permanent mistakes! I think the quilt will be great and very appreciated, too.

Are two starry stripes next to each other centre square left. Making a question mark. Im not sure where it could go without a similiar problem .
i would leave it looks beautiful.

Fabulous! I loved your computer picture and the actual quilt looks beautiful. How did you solve the issue of some of the jelly roll strips being too narrow? Did you just adjust the seam allowance ?

nanac 12-15-2015 08:46 AM

I cannot see a single thing wrong with it. I think it is beautiful

Material Witness 12-15-2015 02:57 PM

I agree with wesing. But my eye is like that.

Awesome quilt and great fabrics for the recipient. Problem with moving things around... you can spend all day and still find things that need to be moved. I think it looks marvelous but I'm still waiting for the name of the pattern. :)

Karamarie 12-16-2015 05:05 AM

I really love the colors in your quilt - great job.

red-warrior 12-16-2015 05:36 AM

Looks great to me too!!!

Texas_Sue 12-16-2015 05:50 AM

Great quilt. If there is anything wrong, I certainly don't see anything. I'm sure this is going to be so appreciated.

I agree with nanac "I cannot see a single thing wrong with it. I think it is beautiful".

justflyingin 12-16-2015 09:38 AM

Great job! I agree with moving that one square so that like fabrics don't form that T.

IBQUILTIN 12-16-2015 10:34 AM

Looking Good. Good job on the layout

misseva 12-16-2015 10:49 AM

It looks similar to a quilt on Sewing with Nancy which is a variation of log cabins.

barny 12-16-2015 10:50 AM

I love it just the way it is. It is gorgeous. You're wonderful for making it for one of our men.

benson1 12-16-2015 11:03 AM

what pattern did you use this is so pretty mary

gram2five 12-16-2015 12:21 PM

The only thing I notice is the dark blue forming a T. Just replace the one piece with the dark blue star fabric. You're quilt is going to be beautiful and what a wonderful gift for a veteran.

chichimamma 12-16-2015 12:48 PM

Looks great!

MargeD 12-16-2015 01:02 PM

I think it will be a great quilt.

Taughtby Grandma 12-16-2015 02:28 PM

I didn't catch any mistakes, nice job!

wildyard 12-16-2015 04:11 PM

It looks great to me. How do you find a homeless veteran to make a quilt for? Is it a group project or a one to one action?

sewbeeit42 12-16-2015 04:58 PM

I noticed that it some places you used rectangles to make the part of the block and in others you used 3 squares to equal the same space. You are a perfectionist as the stripes all matched and the fabric with words even had them cut and sewn to the words were complete. Fantastic job.
