I have one and have used it once. It is messy, keep saying I am going to try it again or sell it in a garage sale. So far, I have not taken it out of the drawer.

Think I remember someone suggesting that they used the pounce and then used hair spray to set it. Haven't tried it though. Think it would work?

I have the older chaulk that washes out. still I had to pounce, not wipe as directed. my stencil caused me some problems getting caught in the pounce cover. so far I've only used it on a border and it worked well enough.

I love my pounce pad. I use it frequently. Draw the pad over the stencil as pouncing will leave too much powder on the top. I found it does Iron off with steam. Luann

I've used cinnamon, in the past, for a darker colored powder. It worked alright!

I love my pounce. It makes marking the quilt very easy. It is a little messy as I have a heavy hand pouncing...lol. My only concern is that I have to really clean my machine after using. The chalk mixes with the lint and really makes a mess. For me, it is more than worth it.

I had mixed results with it. It can be hard to apply cleanly and often wears off before you finish quilting the entire pattern, so it needs to be reapplied which can be tricky. It doesn't show up well on a lot of fabrics; darker ones work best. And the iron off kind is easier to remove than the other type.
