Pinning through the points while holding the layers together to make sure they match helps. I sometimes machine baste first to see if they line up, then sew. It's much easier to take out basting if they don't and you have to re-do.

I'm with kayaker on the one. I just did a quilt top. and practiced on the tube method ( which I really loved). But I still haved posted anything yet.

That is so sad. My sister just made a log cabin quilt in purple and green with an embroidered white center. It is simple to do and absolutely stunning. It is something that you could do too. We all start somewhere, so why not try an easy wallhanging? You might be missing out on something that you might love.

I was extremely nervous when I posted my first picture too - but the positive comments I received made me happy that I took the plunge
