no, you are not the only one. I have yet to post a pix. I just love reading and looking and awing over all the beautiful quilts and other items posted. I hope to have one posted SOMEDAY! I don't always post a reply to everyone out there. Everyone does such a beautiful job. How do you answer each one.

The wonderful quilters on this board are some of the most supportive souls out there...I have received unbelievable encouragement from these kind and helpful folks....

PLEASE POST PICS ... you'll find how great these quilters really are.

I must confess, I am a "lurker" too---so you ae not the only one out there. I have asked questions and received lots of help from members of this board and I am so thankful for that. I haven't completed anything yet to show (except for one quilt top), but I drool over the pictures and projects that others have completed. It does encourage me to continue.
The members have been so helpful...guess I had better introduce myself...next goal.

Mine were beginner quilts with just as many mistakes as everyone else. It has taken 30 plus years to get where I am now and yes I still make plenty of mistakes and always will. I wish this outlet had existed back then!

Silly Chubby Bunny ..... Among your many other talents, you are so talented in word-play, I don't think you would "run them off" .... You would tame them and "woo them into sensibility" with your gentle chastisement :)

Sometimes the so-called "quilt police" are just knowledgeable folks who are trying to bring out the best in us .... Sometimes they are just busy-body-know-it(or nothing-)-alls ...... Sometimes they are just in our own mind and exist only to the extent we accept or reject the other's comment to begin with ....

I find either or all types fun to watch/contemplate .... depending on my temper of the moment...

You are not alone!

Right here. I've been sewing since I was 12 (65 now) and doing machine embroidery for 17 years. Decided it was time to learn to quilt so I found this group to join. I was hoping I could learn from these ladies and gentleman. And believe me I have. I've learned that I was going to embark on a journey that I was never going to learn. The quilts and projects I see here are amazing. I just gave up the idea but still like to see all the beautiful things the group makes. I'd embarrass myself if I even attempted to quilt, if even a wallhanging.
