Anybody have a good link to make continuous bias tape?
I have a book but it's not quite clear and none of the links I found were any better. I figured you all would have the perfect link. :-)

That is perfect. It is the first one that I've seen that gives instructions for using a rectangle. Thanks so much!

that's the one I use too. Works out perfectly

I tried once to make this type of binding for a double wedding ring quilt and gave up on the binding completely. I threw the quilt in a corner of my studio and it was rescued by my bestie and she finished the quilt for me.

Thank you for this information - I have finally printed a copy to use in the future.

Shelley Rodgers' (Pirate) instructions are the best. I almost always use a striped bias binding on my quilts and using Shelleys' instructions they always come out perfect.

I agree with everybody above. I tried so many times to find a method that would work for me. This one is straightforward, simple and very clear and it works every time! I love striped bias bindings too and can cut enough bias binding for a King sized quilt in about an hour.

I have always used the method by Georgia Bonesteel from the early 1980s where you use a rectangle and you don't have to draw any lines. This method is similar to Georgia's but instead of using your finger to measure 2" you use the 2" strip you cut at the beginning and fold it back onto to bias tube and use that for your cutting edge. I usually buy 1 1/4 yd of fabric to make binding for a king size quilt but you can use the method in this video to figure out your yardage.
