I've seen several people mention EQ6 but very little about Quilt Wizard.

I have it and I like it but am finding it somewhat cumbersome.

Does anyone know a quick way to clear out the file with "Fabrics Used in This Project" when starting a new project?

It is a real chore to clear out one by one every fabric you've ever considered plus the ones for all the sample blocks you've used every time you start a new project!

I want to know more about this too. Being a beginner I thought I might try this. Do you like it? I can get one on E-bay for less then $17.00. Anybody out there that has one, please let me know what you think of it.
Thanks

For $17 I would grab it up :D:D:D If you designed 3 quilts, it would more than pay for itself :D:D:D

I felt it was definitely worth the money, just wanting some input as to how to make it work better....of course it may just be that they left some of the inconveniences in to increase your desire to upgrade to EQ6...which I'm hinting would make a really nice Mother's Day or birthday or Christmas gift to Mom!

I also discovered that kiddos(and their parents)really enjoy trying to design their own quilts...playing around with the different blocks.

A friend of mine designed her kitchen and bath tile work using EQ. She scanned in the tile designs and had the tile man wanting to learn how to use EQ!

I took the time to clear them one by one, then saved that file. Now instead of starting a new file I open the cleared one. Just have to be sure to save with another name.

I love Quilt Wizard. It's fun to just play with the designs even though I know I'll never make anything of them. I think it kind of gives you experience in color and pattern placement without doing the actual sewing. It's so much easier than graph paper and pencil. Recently I took the step up to EQ6 but haven't mastered it yet. So sometimes for simple things I go back to Quilt Wizard. Definitely worth the money.
