I was wondering if anyone here had ever ordered from Overstock.com. I have been pricing two quilting books and a ruler on several sites including Overstock, Amazon, and Connecting Threads. With their low prices and free shipping Overstock looks like the best deal but I'm a bit nervous as I have never ordered from them before. Any info would be appreciated - TIA ladies!!

DH and I have ordered from Overstock.com many times and have never had an issue.

I haven't ordered from them in a few years. In the past, the orders always arrived. Overstock is somewhat known for less-than-stellar customer service.

As long as you don't have any issues with what you order, it is no problem. I don't think you would have any issues with books and rulers. I would probably order these from them.

I have ordered many times from them, and even when I had some issues with one order (dishes, for a Christmas gift - one bowl was broken) they were quick to exchange them for me... no complaints here!

also see if www.edwardrhamilton.com has the books. very cheap and only $3.50 shipping.

DH and I just ordered a memory type mattress and got it shipped for 1 dollar. This one goes into the travel trailer we just got. We were very happy with the product and the quickness with whwich we got it.

Thanks ladies!!! I'm relieved - a few years ago I had heard some not so great things about Overstock customer service. The experiences here seem overwhelmingly to the good. I just hit enter and my order is complete! Here's hoping I have a good experience as well!

Slightly off topic, but if anyone needs king size bedding, overstock is THE place to go! They don't charge more for different sizes (at least that's been the case for what I have purchased)... I am getting ready to order and King size memory foam topper for around $70!

I have been using Overstock for many years ( about 11 ) even before they began advertizing and people had really heard of them. I have never once had a problem with them.

I have ordered books & movies, have them shipped to friends in the US for the free shipping. No problems and they send confermation of order and again when it is shipped.

Yes, they are great to order from - no problems what so ever.

I have ordered from them a couple times and no problems, either. I wold order from them again if the time came.

Just wanted you all to know I got everything I ordered- yay!! Each item was shipped separately which was a little odd - but as it was free no complaints! All items arrived as promised and in perfect condition in just over a week. Considering all the items being shipped for the holidays I think that is pretty good delivery time. Thanks for the input!

I have two rugs in my house from overstock. Great product, good price, no hassle. Go for it!

overstock is wonderful i buy all my sheets from them. but i do find some things over priced in the craft dept. have you looked at connecting threads there book prices are great

I order from them a lot (cuz I'm cheap). Only had one item in all these years that I was unhappy with and they took care of it immediately. Love their linens. Cherie

Not sure why this topic has popped up again. Since I started it, let me just say that I placed my order long ago and happily received everything. The prices were better than Connecting Threads for everything or I would have ordered from them. Feel free to post experiences if you want, but my original question has been answered. Thanks for the input though.
