Anyone have the June Tailor Gridder Rotary Mat from JoAnn's?

This one?

I am thinking of ordering it since I need a new mat but there are no reviews for it.

Or know where I can get one cheaper. Thanks!

Im partial to the Olfa's myself. The June Taylors I've had in the past were that harder plastic and I just didnt like them as well as the Olfa, but thats just my preferance. Im sure others will come along with more info for you. Love the machine in your avitar by the way !!!

I have an Fiskars now but my daughter bent it and when I was cutting the other night, my blade went right through where she had bent it. :( So I am on the hunt for new mat.

And thanks! That is my machine, Singer Model 347.

You are right, this mat is hard plastic. I don't believe it is a self healing mat either. I have a June Taylor mat that also has a pressing area on it and I actually cut the cutting surface off because I don't care for it. For the price, I would go with the Olfa mat. If they aren't on sale, you can use a coupon. Also, if you have a Hancock Fabrics near you, they also take the Joann's coupons.

Thanks! I was just trying to find out if it was self healing. Right now all mats are on sale so I will look at the Olfa one. I want one that is 24"x36".

Your welcome! I too am an "Olfa" fan and I just think they hold up better. Plus, I think they are easier on those "Oh, so expensive" rotary cutter blades!!!!

I haven't been happy with any of the June Tailor products. I would get an Olfa, even if more expensive.

Oh really! Thanks! I am tempted to head to JoAnn's tomorrow after I drop the little one off at Mother's Day Out. If not, then I will order online.

Again I am the oddball, while june tailor is not a self healing mat it lasts a really long time, and I love mine over my olfa, but that is just my personal preference. To each his own. I love june tailor mats as well as there shape cutters for strips. I have had my mat since 2005 and it is still going. Also have a new one haven't used it yet though, but they were fazing them out at walmart so picked one up.

I have it and do not like it. Too hard and stiff for me, plus it took lots of 2-sided tape to secure to table. I prefer the Olfa self-healing mats. Can't go wrong finding coupons to Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Hancock Fabrics, etc. and getting a self-healing mat, they are worth the money. Easy to keep clean and surface stays smooth.
