Anyone have solution-to help finish quilt top?

My daughter is trying to finish a quilt top for a friend. It is a Pattern called "Zebra" from Fons and Porter Magazine-2009-Sept/Oct. the top has curvy pieces in zebra fabric,, and around them she is to cut pieces--- but they do not fit the spaces that they are to be put in. Has anyone ever made this ,or have a solution? She has had quilting friends look at it,, and they can't figure it out, either... I do not live near her ,or I would send a picture.
I believe she said it is an angled piece that won't work. Thanks!

Is it like a drunkards path block? With a curve out piece and a curve inward piece? If so google how to put it together, not hard once you understand the process.

Not sure if she is aware but there is a correction to this pattern. Scroll down a bit.

I think this is a picture of the quilt although it isn't easy to see how it is put together.

Funny. I was able to find a pattern for this quilt when I used my iPad to search but, now that I am on the desktop, cannot find it. When I saw it on my iPad, I noted that the description said it was suitable for intermediate quilters and that it needed careful cutting in order to go together easily. My best guess is that one or more of the pieces was cut wrong. If it were me, I would go over all of the cutting directions again. If I find the pattern again, I will post a link to it. The pattern was the quilt in summitbay's post, with a price of $9.

I made this quilt! I by- passed all the foo foo. I made the zebra print blocks square and the center zebra block square. Sure saved me a lot of frustration. The quilt looked great, I thought better then all the curves anyway.

Okay, I found the pattern still for sale here:

It looks like these people are the designers of that pattern because if you look at all of their patterns, there are several others with this same layout. There is both an email and telephone number on that website. It may be worthwhile for your daughter to email the shop about her difficulties, perhaps with some attached photos of the pieces that are left. They should be able to help her figure out what to do. (I still think some piece must have been cut backwards or mirror-imaged, but that is just my guess.)

I think that sometimes folks who quilt do not understand the "ins and outs" of making an intelligible pattern and they to not test their designs long enough or with folks of varying experience to "get the bugs out".
