It was a mystery quilt made by a quilter named Betsy. The LA who quilted it can probably get you in touch with the lady who made it. http://murdockmanor.blogspot.com/201...-can-show.html If you find the pattern I'd appreciate knowing.

I think that pattern was in one of the magazines I subscribe to -- Love of Quilting, American Patchwork, or McCalls. It was a different color -- at this point not willing to look through several years worth of magazines though. It is a beautiful quilt.

I looked and it said Lawry Thorn of The Stitchin Post.

ManiacQuilter2 02-24-2016 01:50 PM

:) I went to Google and found some similar quilts.

If no one comes up with the quilt, PM me and I will see what I can do to help you.

A pattern for a smaller version of this quilt is listed on the Stitchin' Post website and it's called All Tangled Up. I don't know if they still have it or not but you could check with them as I am sure you could probably make it larger fairly easily. Good luck!

edited: Sorry but now that I look closer, I don't think this is the same pattern you are looking for. Hope someone else can help you.

leighway 02-24-2016 03:50 PM

I left a comment on the blogger's site however she hasn't updated her blog since mid-2015...unless I get lucky and the quilt maker happens to spot this, I may be out of luck. I'll PM those who have requested such , if I can find the pattern.
Thank you for your help, fellow quilters.

Stitchin Post has 2 similar quilts, but they are not the same, and there doesn't seem to be a pattern for sale. If you can't get a reply from them, I don't think it would be difficult to make up your own.

soccertxi 02-24-2016 08:45 PM

Here are two that are similar that have free patterns. I searched for interlocking square quilts. Hope one will suit you!

I found that it was made in 2014, that might be a good year to search.

kaylfordsollimo 02-26-2016 10:07 AM

Love the quilting. Hope you find it, but in the meanwhile I really like the two similar ones with the free patterns someone gave. Thank you to some good detectives here.

leighway 02-26-2016 03:18 PM

The Stichin' Post answered my email and the quilt designer will be out of town until next week. I'll report in when I hear from her.

So glad to hear that you made contact ... or almost contact ... with the designer. Hopefully she will get back to you and have a pattern to sell. The one you like is "prettier" than the others that are similar to it in my opinion. Good that you are waiting to get the one you want. Got my fingers crossed for you!

bhanes 02-28-2016 01:58 PM

All Tangled Up is very close - may be the same.
I love the quilting on the one you posted.

Barb in Louisiana 02-28-2016 06:59 PM

This is a close up of the quilting on the Murdock Manor blog. http://murdockmanor.blogspot.com/201...-can-show.html

If you zoom in on it, you can see where the seams are. If you assume that the colored fabric is 1" finished, then the square is 11". I can't figure out how to draw the blocks in EQ, but it could be drawn on graph paper. Wish I had some. I do like a challenge.

leighway 03-03-2016 03:49 PM

OK folks. I got the email I was waiting for from The Stitchin' Post and I've already ordered the pattern for me. Here is the email in case any of you would like to order, as well! It's in mystery quilt format which will make it easy to put together...these simple patterns can be the most hair-pullingly frustrating which is why I wanted the pattern!

Hi Sandy--

OK, I talked to Lawry and the pattern is available—the cost is $10.
If you live in the continental US, shipping will be free.

You can place a special order on this page of our website:
http://www.stitchinpost.com/special-order.html

Put “2013 Mini Mystery pattern” in the box provided for the special order.

(Please note that the pattern is not set us like the usual commercial patterns—it is in the “Mystery” class format.
It still has all the information you need to make the quilt, though.)

Happy stitching,
Paige

It was a mystery quilt
The first reply was right on the money about this one. Good job finding the pattern!
