It looks similar to the Log Cabin Twist paper pieced blocks from years ago. Awesome quilt!

I think I've seen that block in the block library on EQ7.
Out of town for the weekend so can't check it out for you. Hope someone else can help you more. |
It IS a paper pieced pattern...I went from grit's blog site to her Facebook page and that is where I found pictures of this quilt in various stages of completion. I sent her a message on her FB site but was hoping that someone here on QB could help out :)

It is a twisted log cabin. It's usually paper pieced, but here is a tutorial on how to make one without paper piecing - http://www.quiltingboard.com/tutoria...in-t81954.html

Carol Doak has several paper pieced twists (this one is Double Twist) in her Standard Edition Vol.1 collection. It is available as stand-alone program for downloading on Quilt Pro website(you don't need QuiltPro to run the program. I have also seen a pattern like this for sale, a table runner if I remember rigth, somewhere on the net called Jubilee. Try Google.

Here is a free PP pattern. It does't LOOK the same at first glance but it is the same log cabin twist( see the template): just pay attention to your color placement, pick your own colors |
This quilt looks like something I would enjoy making. Thanks for the links.
