Rachael-----Where did you see or get the 202 spray? Sounds interesting. Like the concept. Marge

Is the deli Sheets available in the stores? If so where do they hide them? :-)

There is a product of rolled paper with the pattern already
printed on it. It has an adhesive strip along the edges.
You just lay it out on your quilt, pull the taps off the adhesive strips and you quilt on the lines. Just cut the paper, butt the pattern up to the last row and quilt. Works great.
I bought it from Keepsake quilting. I used it on a lap quilt and had not problems. Not sure how well it would work on a
large bed size quilt though.

Maybe frezer paper ironed on would work. As for tissue paper, next time you are at the doctors ask for the ramaing roll of exam paper, or give them a call. They throw it away and it is wonderful for tracing.

I've never done it, but it's a thought. Ever use a light box?

I have a program that has quilting designs that you print on typing paper, use the blank side of old ones and save. You can make the designs any size you wish and there are many to choose from.

They now sell 8 1/2 x 11 freezer paper. Why not try ironing the tissue paper to that, and then putting it through the printer. There would be no risk of gumming up the printer roller then.

this is what i use. you can adjust the size to your quilt block.
it's a stand alone program so you don't need EQ to run it.

I just went on e-bay and bought this software cheaper- FYI.

I've just had my AH-HA moment! I am struggling with FMQ and have been so upset that I couldn't seem to get the hang of it...I see all of the beautiful quilts which you ladies do and my pieced tops look beautiful too; but my quilting is soooooo bad. I have practiced and practiced and still they look like something alien (certainly not feathers or whatever). I'm off to the studio this morning with a new goal and a roll of freezer paper and a package of tissue paper....Wish me luck!
Thanks for this post..
Roxanne
