Apple core quilt

I am working on my first apple core quilt. I bought the large apple core template from MSQC. I have watched the video and I can get each block sewn to another to make the rows just fine.

what I am struggling with is sewing the rows together. The MSQC video didn't show this and I am wondering what I am missing. I got 2 rows sewn together but it took awhile and I had to pull out my seam ripper a few times.

does anyone here have any tips or a link to directions on the best way to sew these apple core rows together?

thanks!

i just finished an apple core top. i used the method in the first link [starts at about 7 mins]. the stop and start may be annoying, but you get better curves when the 'smile' is on the top. the fonsandporter link does it in one fell swoop... not my favorite way.

thanks for the links.. I will check them out. The 2 rows I joined I did stop and start.. interesting Can't wait to watch how they do it

I am just parroting what I have read somewhere, how someone said the way they do it is to keep the top layer lifted up, using the quarter inch foot that has the guide along the right side. Keep the edges against the guide. That's more than I know.
