applipops

Has anyone ever used applipops for making appliqué circles? I did search "applipops" on this forum and didn't come up with anything. I am wondering if they make the perfect circles in real life, or are they more difficult to use than shown in the video. They are a little on the expensive side, so I wanted your expert opinions before taking the plunge. Thank you!

They do make all kinds of sense. I looked at them but decided they are too expensive. I'll just stick to my template plastic for circles for now.

I have wondered if washers from the hardware store would do the same thing? One of these days I'm going digging in my husband's workshop to borrow a few. Though they will be thicker than the applipops. I think.

found this when googled applipops. Love the idea, but will look at hardware store for DIY washers.

I saw them "dance" on Facebook. Really cool idea and if I had an applique project that required loads of circles I might consider them, but I too thought them a bit pricey for something that I may not use often.

I use Perfect Circles by Karen Buckley. Heat resistant plastic, 60 in pkg, 15 different sizes, 4 of each size, $12.95. I love them. She also makes Bigger Perfect Circles, Perfect Ovals and Perfect Leaves. Free tutorials on her website.

My first thought, like for so many others, was washers from the hardware store might do the same thing for far less $$. I love the concept. I also wonder how larger of a circle they have? For now stay with my templates.

I use the Appliquik method for circles even the tiny ones. My circles come out perfect every time. I tried with other tools but had sloppy circles https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nL5yKc82DzY''
I doubt you can find washers that fit inside another washer, the holes are made for screw/bolt sizes. .
