Applique precut fused shapes
Has anyone used the precut fusible applique pieces? If so what do you like or dislike about them. Thanks.

I have never purchased those because they never tell you what brand of fusible was used. Some fusibles create a lot more stiffness than others.

Edyta Starr has pre fused shapes she calls Silhouettes. http://modafabrics.blogspot.com/2012...ced-bread.html They have Steam a Seam 2 on the back. |
I haven't purchased any precut, prefused applique pieces so I can't reply to what I like, but I can tell you why I haven't purchased any. 1) I think they are too expensive; 2) I like the freehand look to pieces I cut myself; 3) I can use whatever fabric I want.

I window the fusible on all my appliques and use Shades Soft or Misty Fuse...so no, I don't buy pre-made ones.

Quilters I know have used the pre cuts to make fancy quilt labels. I would never have thought to do that. They are very pretty. They either use the "writing" done on their machines or permanent markers.

I received some as a gift when I purchases an item from a board member. I've used a few. They worked just fine. Since I didn't buy them, I can't comment on price.
