My husband gave me some nice applique scissors, which I have been using for the last couple of weeks. But I am always complaining that they need loosened, and they hurt my hand. Then hubby says, "Maybe that is how applique scissors are supposed to be." They do clip smoothly and nicely if I just "barely" clip, but if i open them up too much, they are so tight, and uncomfortable to use. Am I uneducated on these speciality scissors, or do they need adjusting?

Can you see if a drop of oil will help?

I am glad you ask about this. I have a new pair of regular sissors with the same problem.
