Thanks all! I feel better now. This may eventually become some sort of quilt.

So did you ever finish this quilt? Did you post a pic? I ♥ making hexies (and yo-yo's too.) I have a pile of hexies now that I want to make a wall hanging out of and cannot figure out which is the best way to do it!

No, I still haven't finished this and don't know if I ever will! I didn't make flowers; just sewed all the hexies together willy-nilly and eventually made one huge star. I blogged about it here: http://www.thingsthatarenotperfect.b...ll-monday.html That photo was taken before I sewed the star segments together. So far, I haven't found a fabric for the star background and really, that might just be a collossal waste of fabric! Too late for me, but check out this idea for a hexie quilt...lovely! http://imagingermonkey.blogspot.com/...2/hexy-mf.html

Thank you!

I was looking at your star of hexagons. Wow! what an undertaking. It will be beautiful. I might suggest an unbleached muslin background in keeping with the 30's - 40's look of the quilt. But it will be beautiful whatever you do. I am looking forward to seeing the completed project.
