Is anyone doing the April Shop Hop, and if so, how are you doing at it? I have all but the 3 shops that are still saying unavailable.

Minda 04-06-2008 04:17 PM

I'm doing the shop hop, but I'm not very far along yet.

G-Maw Wilda 04-06-2008 09:15 PM

I don't have very many yet. I have one that won't come up, I thought that I would try it later. :D

THANKS!

mary705 04-07-2008 01:57 AM

No problem. There are still 3 sites that are showing unavailable, so I check at least once a day, cause there were 7 of them, but then the other 4 worked.

A lot of the sites will give you hints, the ones that don't, I always check out their newsletter first, that's where I've found quite a few.

tlrnhi 04-07-2008 02:14 AM

This is too cool.
I did, however, send an e-mail to the person "in charge" making sure that I am eligible. It doesn't say anything about Guam, but does mention Puerto Rico.

There is only 1 more shop I need, but the bunny isn't showing up, but the "You've found it" words are there.
What's with the balloon next to the store names?

mary705 04-07-2008 02:34 AM

I'm not seeing any balloons, and you really found them fast if you only have one more to go.

tlrnhi 04-07-2008 02:45 AM

There's only 1 more I need in the letter to my last name.
I'm doing the others so I can get the how ever many that I need to complete it.

mary705 04-07-2008 02:54 AM

oh, ok. I did that last month, my first hop. Now I just go to the list of shops not visited and start from the top and work my way down. If it takes too much time to find, will go on to the next one.

If I stay in the fabrics too long at all these shops, I'd end up maxing out all my credit cards.

tlrnhi 04-07-2008 02:59 AM

My credit card is in my bedroom and I don't feel like climbing a flight of stairs to get it, so I'm safe.

3incollege 04-07-2008 07:23 AM

You guys are quick! I better get a move on. I spend too much time in the shop. One of the shops is my local quilt shop, that was exciting. She has her own patterns and designs for Timeless Treasure fabric.(the quilt company)

I've tried the FAB SHOP HOP before, but never won. Do you know anyone who did win? It's great to look at all those shops and ideas. Sara

gj 04-08-2008 07:09 PM

I won a $10.00 gift certificate on the last one.

Minda 04-08-2008 08:07 PM

I won a ruler last year.

amma 04-08-2008 08:11 PM

I am about half way through, I too get side tracked in some of the shops  Last year I won a $25 gift certificate, I had fun spending it on some very pretty batiks. I sign up for the newsletters at most of the shops that have monthly drawings too. :D

Moonpi 04-08-2008 08:34 PM

If it is taking too long, I usually just ask for them to send me a hint. So many of them bury bunny deeeeeep in 50 pages of fabric. It is surprising how many times I find him on the contact us page after giving up. I've won a gift certificate, too.

mary705 04-09-2008 12:52 AM

Isn't that the truth. Unless they give a specific hint, I always check all those pages first.

nanabirdmo 04-12-2008 10:10 AM

i won a gift cert. in the jan. shop hop but never got the ruler i wanted to get. i emailed and they didn't reply. she had said she was sending it but it didn't come :-(

DonnaRae 04-12-2008 10:41 AM

Doing a mystery here and other things so am busy busy. Oh and here is the link for the mystery a bunch of us are doing just in case any one is interested.

All of them are available now. I think one of them was removed, cause when I had checked on the last two I had left, there was only one left, so found it and I'm done.

I looked all over for this at the shop membership. The downloads are always easy to get but couldnt find this one. I guess I looked too early. :|

Actually, on my 3rd one I won a grand prize -- a Bernina sewing machine -- this was in '06 or '07. I have also won a couple of $10 gift certificates. Had a lot going on back then and I already have an (old) but wonderful Bernina -- so this one is still in the box... buried in a closet. When I get to it, it is promised to my brother's stepdaughter...
So, you never know, you get a feel for what different shops carry -- maybe you like modern or civil war.. whatever. I have found that if I do it a little at a time -- say 5 or 10 shops a day over 2-3 weeks, I get to all I need and don't spend hours of time....

Good plan. Although I have all the blocks now, I've gone back to the list and am spending time looking at the sites. Some of them really are nice, and their newsletters promise free stuff each week or month. I don't mind getting lots of emails even if they are just advertising. If I don't want to receive it, it's easy enough to unsubscribe, in my experience.

Had a lot going on I have won about ten times now and always 10 dollar certificates. Which only causes you to spend money you wouldnt have spent otherwise. It is just about impossible to buy fabric and pay shipping with ten dollars on-line. But DUH me keeps on playing. back then and I already have an (old) but wonderful Bernina -- so this one is still in the box... buried in a closet. I only like 2 shops finding the bunny and got all the patterns
I like The BearPaw and it says hint is 2,000,000,000 people this April and can not find anything at Thousands Bolts. Do you need to find all bunnies to be in drawing or just all the patterns

Thanks
