Apron memory quilt

Suggestions, opinions, ideas......want to make a quilt from my deceased mother-in-laws aprons.....I have 6 aprons and plan to use one of them as a panel.....fabric is like feed sack prints.
Will probably just cut fabric into squares or rectangles & place around the main panel.....any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks everyone! Thought about doing a Dresden plate design.....maybe....please give me your thoughts

It would help more if you posted a couple of photos of the aprons.

A Dresden would be beautiful. Any 30's design would be pretty.

There are some really cute pieced apron block patterns on the web, it might be cute to use aprons in apron blocks.

If she used the aprons a lot, there may be grease stains in the center that you need to cut around. That is a good reason to choose blocks that need smaller pieces, like dresden plate.

I think would make apron blocks, either applique or a pieced one, great idea, I love memory quilts made from any type of clothing or ties or whatever!!!
