Try and wash the pieces out, but if they don't come clean, how about tea dying the rest of the quilt to match?

OH no!! So sorry to hear that.

Kudos on your self control! Way to be a living example, your joy in that will always outway the extra effort to solve the quilt block problem.

THANK YOU ALL!! Cindy I don't allow drink or food around the computer or the sewing for that very reason... stuff happens and if you follow simple rules like that, you have fewer "life happenings" |
Thank goodness it didn't get your machine. I do know how you fell.

Can't you wash the pieces in OxiClean. It does wonders. I am sorry this happened to you.
|
Happy for you that you got them cleaned! yippee!

Oh that would have made me want to cry too, but I'm so glad you handled the way you did. Give that child a big hug and assure her that it was an accident. New rules for sewing room would be a drink that has a lid on tight, and only drink from it AWAY from the cutting or sewing tables.

Can you just tea dye the who thing? You wil have that antique look.

Oh I feel so bad for you. Can you salvage the blocks out of the garbage and, as some others have suggested, try to soak the tea out of them. If it doesn't come out, is this a quilt that could be tea dyed to look old? You held your scream in very well. Give the girl a hug and show her how to get the tea out of the blocks.
