Artista 730 vs Aurora 440 QE?

I am looking to buy a second machine. I have narrowed it down to these two possibilities. I am looking on ebay for a Bernina with BSR. I have Youtubed these and look like both would be a good choice for me. I am a hobby quilter and am looking for a way to quilt my own quilts. I have a Bernina Virtuosa 160 which is still sewing great after all these years. Can anyone give me insight to which machine might be a better choice. Any advice welcome and thanks for adding me to the group!

Blessings,

I think the 730 has a bigger harp space which would make FMQ easier. Check that before you make a decision. Good luck!

In order to quilt your own quilts you do need a bigger area then those two offer. It can be done but it is not easy.

Thank you for your input. I'm still debating. Wishing I could afford a long arm machine and a place to put it in my home....just not in the budget right now.

Does anyone have any other recommendations for sewing machines that can be used to quilt on? I really like the idea of regulated stitch with the Bernina but if another machine offered it I would be open to them as well.
