HERE IS A TIP FOR ALL OF YOU WHO ARE MAKING A SWISH OF YOUR OWN OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF QUILT, WHERE THE PATTERN CHANGES. THIS IS WHAT I DID WHEN I WAS CHECKING MY SWISH PATTERN AND MAKING MY SECOND SWISH.
I did the same thing as you guys did, neglected to remove one block and sewed it on, only to have to rip it out. On the pattern, I took a pink ink pen, and marked every change on the pattern. This will help you to remember where there are changes while you are making it. See the example below. Hope this helps everybody! Happy Quilting! Maybe draw another line in a different color when the pieces start to mirror each other?
Like in column one where the numbers go from ... 20, 19, 18, 18, 19, 20 . . . between the two 18s |
