Does anyone have these? I'm thinking of buying them on Ebay, and it doesn't tell how many or what kind are in them. There are several different sets, a square one, a star one, a hexagon one, etc. The square one and the star one are the ones I'm looking at.

I've googled and googled and can not find how many( or what sizes) templates are in it. Does anyone know?

Also, here's a link on Amazon to them:

I have wondered the same thing. I assume because of the price they are paper but would really like to hear from people that have actually seen them. It sometimes amazes me that the description or even the number of items is excluded from the information.

Emma, it says in the description that they are plastic. Here's what it says"

"Set includes an assortment of interchangeable plastic templates to create 11 or more designs."

BUT, in the reviews on Amazon, someone said this:

"i have a few sets of these, and while they are innovative, convenient and creative, they are smaller and a bit insubstantial compared with what i expected. but, they're pretty inexpensive so all is not lost. "

So, they are probably pretty little. I think I will just buy the Omingrid mini set.

I like little.
Might have to check these out, did not know about these templates.
Thanks!

Thanks for your response. Seems like it might be a trade off between the convience of sturdy for use with a rotary cutter and thinner for tracing....?

From the pictures of the various blocks, it looks like most of these blocks are well-known blocks -- 9-patch, friendshp star, bow tie, Jacob's ladder, pinwheels, oak leaf, monkey wrench/churn dash. All of these can be pieced without templates. I'm sure you could find the pattern for most of these blocks in Quilter's Cache Most of the blocks are made up of half-square triangles, quarter-square triangles and four-patches.

Hi Stef,
I have never heard of these templets, but I would not buy something that looks like what we use rotory cutter and rulers now to cut. I didn't see any curved edges on the examples on the front cover.

Also they should let you see what you are buying, don't you think?

I have a set of pandora's box that are wonderful thick plastic templets I never use anymore.
