I was always a Mettler lover...still use it, certain colors I haven't been able to find in any other thread.. But I have also come to love Auriful. It is a much less linty thread, and the bobbins can hold a lot more thread. Though it is considered a 50 weight thread, it is finer than the Mettler. When you consider how much yardage is on a spool of Auriful vs the yardage on Mettler, it really isn't that much more expensive. The spools are much larger, and that is why it costs more.

Just attended a class run by a sewing machine tech. He says that Aurifil is A++++ in his book. though he also recommended Mettler.
